As a highly trained horn player with years of experience, I struggled to make ends meet, no longer taking auditions or practicing enough, even though I loved playing and knew I could do more.


I began to turn down offers to play principal, feeling unprepared and losing confidence in my abilities. Where was the joy and financial abundance I once envisioned?


I was exhausted, driving miles to every low-paying gig I was offered, longing for more time with my twins and wanting to slow down. I never imagined how much of a toll this lifestyle would take on my relationships, health and finances.
